Repeated exposure to new words and structures over time, in a wide variety of situations and associations, means that these are acquired for life. HOW DOES THE COURSE WORK? EL MÉTODO, level 1, consists of 20 video lessons of spoken Spanish. After every lesson there is a series of written exercises as well an optional musical task. We will engage you in a spoken dialogue that requires no pen and paper. Just speak, speak and speak. You won't stop speaking Spanish from start to finish. This is the ideal system for beginners to learn Spanish. My goal with EL MÉTODO is for you to become "hooked" on the program, thereby mastering basic Spanish as quickly as humanly possible. To your success!

Introduction to Intellectual Property
Intellectual property is the currency of the tech world, with the world’s most valuable intellectual property assets dwarfing the value of their real-world counterparts. Apple’ trademarked brand was valued at over $100 billion as of 2017. J.K. Rowling’s Harry potter franchise has generated over $25 billion to date. But how did the law come to create such enormous value in intangible assets? This course will introduce the various types of U.S. intellectual property: patents, which cover inventions and process innovations; copyright, which protects original works of authorship; and trademarks, which protect a business’ commercial identity as the source of valuable goods and services. You will then explore case studies of how global businesses have used intellectual property law to generate enormous value from these intangible assets.

Songwriting: Writing the Lyrics
There’s a songwriter lurking somewhere inside you, peeking around corners, wondering if it’s safe to come out. Now it is. This course is an invitation to let your inner songwriter step into the sunlight. All it takes is a simple “yes” and you’ll be climbing that windy hill, marveling at the view. If you haven’t written any or many songs, this course will show you an efficient, effective process for tailoring songs to express your ideas and emotions. If you have, you’ll look at your process differently, taking control of aspects of the process you may have not noticed. The course will start by examining the tools available to you, all revolving around the essential concept of prosody. You’ll learn to use your tools to enhance your message—to work compositionally at the same time you’re developing your ideas. You’ll be working both lyrically and musically, though musically it’s not necessary that you either read music or play an instrument. If you play, great, and you’ll be encouraged to play and record your musical responses to the assignments. If you don’t play, the course offers you a number of musical loops to work with. All you’ll have to do is sing your melodies over the loops. Assignments will ask you to post something for peer review—sometimes lyric lines or sections, sometimes melodies, sometimes both. None of it has to be polished. The course is about writing, not performing. Most important, you’ll have a lot of fun.

Housing Justice: A View from Indian Cities
This self-paced, seven-module course from IIHS introduces a rigorous framework for understanding housing injustice in Indian cities—and the practices that can move us toward justice. Housing in Indian cities is not simply an infrastructure problem. It is a justice problem, made evident by millions of urban residents being evicted, excluded, or priced out due to a complex mix of factors spanning material deprivation, ecological risk, social exclusion, and spatial inequality. Housing Justice: A View from Indian Cities reframes familiar problems, and opens up different possibilities for collective action. In this course, you will examine different approaches to housing justice, learn to apply a systematic analytical framework to Indian cities, and explore the full range of practice modes: from activism and direct action to public policy, participatory governance, and community organising. The learning materials include lecture videos, interactive dashboards, international case studies, and rare first-person accounts from housing activists and organisers working on the ground in Indian cities, to help you build a deeper understanding of how housing is connected to human dignity, livelihood, prosperity and sustainability. The course encourages learners to develop their understanding through immersion and expression, culminating in a peer-reviewed op-ed in which you articulate your own position on housing justice. You should enrol, if you are: • An urban planner, urban housing scholar, or policy researcher • A civil society member or NGO worker engaged in housing and urban rights • A student of architecture, planning, urban studies, social science, or social work • A journalist, activist, or citizen who wants to understand housing injustice more rigorously Why you should enrol: The course introduces learners to view housing access through the particular framing of justice—bringing together material, ecological, social and spatial approaches. With ongoing debates over slum rehabilitation plans, and housing schemes that remain out of reach for millions, the framework that this course offers is relevant to the lives of millions of Indians. By the end of this course, you will: • Move beyond supply-side thinking to offer a justice framework that is analytically rigorous and practically actionable • Analyse different tenure systems, including rental housing, and their implications for housing equity • Be able to map the range of actors, practices, and modes of action available for advancing housing justice • Apply concepts of adequacy, affordability, and viability to evaluate housing conditions in Indian cities, and articulate your own position on housing justice

Alan Sharpe's Proofreading Masterclass (Digital & Print)
If you want to learn proofreading, you need just two things: information, and perspiration. By information, I mean you must learn what mistakes in manuscripts look like, where they appear in documents, how they happen, and how to fix them. And by perspiration, I mean you must practice. You develop skill as a proofreader by proofreading. You develop proofreading expertise through repetition. That’s why I created this masterclass: to give you both the knowledge and the practice you need to learn proofreading. Hi, I’m Alan Sharpe, writer and writing trainer. I landed my first proofreading gig way back in 1989. I learned the craft by proofreading annual reports and royal commissions for the federal government. Dry stuff, I know. But at the age of 29, with no prior proofreading experience, I learned how to spot dangling modifiers, capitalization errors, punctuation mistakes, comma splices, redundancies, errors in tables and charts, and plenty more. I earned a living as a proofreader and editor, learning the craft from scratch. I learned the craft with a few good books, and lots of practice. In this masterclass, I give you the knowledge and the practice you need to start offering your services as a proofreader. On the knowledge side, I teach you how to spot 180 errors that fall under 26 categories. We’re talking errors with headings, mistakes with spaces, blunders with grammar, errors with citations and more. That’s the knowledge side—learning the 180 mistakes to look for. Then I give you the practice part. After every lesson I give you three quick practice exercises so that you get to put into practice what you’ve just learned. This is where the perspiration comes in. You are going to work your way through 80 proofreading exercises. Don’t faint! Be encouraged, because each exercise is short, multiple choice, and designed to develop your muscle memory for spotting and fixing mistakes as a proofreader. I designed this course for anyone who wants to learn how to proofread the modern way, that is, proofing digital documents. Plenty of courses teach you the old-school way of proofreading with a paper manuscript, a red pen in hand, and using proofreader marks. Well, I teach you that old-school method, too, just in case. But the majority of this masterclass is dedicated to teaching you how to spot and fix mistakes in Microsoft Word documents, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, and Adobe Acrobat PDFs. In other words, this masterclass is aimed at students who want to master proofreading the modern way, with digital documents. You learn the errors to look for, discover how and where to spot them, learn how to fix these errors using Microsoft and Adobe software applications, and then you learn proofreading by practicing, practicing, and practicing proofreading. That’s the only way. If you want to become a professional proofreader, and if the only things standing in your way are lack of information and perspiration, this masterclass is for you. Take it now.

Political science discourse brings us face to face with many important concepts like authority, democracy, and power. However, all of them are used differently in different contexts, and their specific meaning depends on the theory they relate to. There is no way around such puzzling diversity. Students of political science simply have to accept this challenge. Yet, the diversity of political science concepts can be used as a powerful resource for learning, through intellectual techniques for stirring personal creativity. This MOOC teaches conceptual thinking and elementary theory-building through Hyperpolitics, an interactive dictionary for understanding and working with the most central concepts in political science. Its aim is to provide students with fresh critical insights about key political concepts, offering a methodology by which users can unpack and reconstruct them on their own. Its companion open-access website serves as a powerful tool for students' practice in forging their own vocabulary while learning how to make professional use of authoritative PS internet resources. Throughout its 4 weeks, this MOOC comprises lecture sections, based on visualizations of the arguments presented; reading assignments; and practical exercises. This course is part of the IPSAMOOC project, a joint venture Federica Weblearning-IPSA, the International Political Science Association.

From Zero to NVivo 13 - (NVivo R1, 2020 release)
"A million times better than the ones at my uni! " - Claire L. Johnston "I highly recommend this course and instructor. He is a savior for the new researcher!" - Jody Bergstrom *This course is recorded on NVivo 2020, also referred to NVivo R1 and NVivo 13 (the one that followed NVivo 12 and was released before NVivo 14) Whether you are completely new to NVivo, or have some previous experience with it, you will find this course both useful and enjoyable. I am a professional researcher, research consultant and academic tutor, and in this course, I will teach you complex ideas in a simple and approachable way and I will make sure that when you complete it: - you will be able to use a variety of functions of NVivo, ranging from simple note-making, sorting and coding to more complex data queries (see the details in the "What you'll learn" section above) - you will understand how NVivo can help you take Your data analysis to a higher level. You will have a good understanding of what can be done to enrich your data analysis and how to use NVivo for this purpose - you will impress your supervisors, teachers, employers or colleagues with the depth of the analysis you undertake The best thing about this course is that all lessons are logically connected - the analytic ideas that emerge early in the course when we record our initial thoughts will be later tested when we learn to code and conduct various coding queries. I do not just talk about how to conduct a given query without first explaining what this query is, how it will help us, and why we may want to conduct it in the first place! This is, in fact, what my students seem to like most about my courses - the way I explain things, the way the lessons are organised and the way I support my students throughout (I am very responsive to messages and always do my best to assist each student personally). I hope that you will take this course and we will soon embark on this exciting analytic journey together! PS you don't even need your own data for this course - I provide you with a sample data set that I am using in the videos ! :) ! Please not that the course was recorded on the WINDOWS version, and although it is very similar to the MAC version, some may find the differences confusing

College Algebra with the Math Sorcerer
This is a complete college level course in Algebra, hence the name College Algebra:) Basically just, 1) Watch the videos, and try to follow along with a pencil and paper, take notes! 2) Eventually you should be able to do the problems before I do them. Try! Keep watching until you can do the problems on your own:) 3) There are assignments throughout the course. Work through these if you need more practice. 4) Repeat! If you finish even 50% of this course you will know A LOT of College Algebra and more importantly your Algebra skills will improve a ton! College Algebra is an awesome class because it prepares you for higher level math in a big way. To be honest, lots of higher level math like Calculus isn't even that hard, it's the ALGEBRA that makes Calculus hard! This means if you become really good at Algebra then once you get to Calculus it will be much easier! I hope you enjoy watching these videos and working through these problems as much as I have:) Note this course has lots of very short videos with assignments. If you are trying to learn algebra then this format can be good because you don't have to spend tons of time on the course every day. Even if you can only spend time doing 1 video a day, that is honestly better than not doing any mathematics. You can learn a lot and because there are so many videos you could do 1 video a day. Good luck and I hope you learn a lot of math.

Increasing Multiplication Mastery with Microsoft PowerPoint
By the end of this project, you will have developed a tool to track student progress as they master multiplication facts while also motivating them to “level up” along the way. Strong numeracy skills are important for students to succeed, but these skills do not come naturally to all students. By motivating them to tackle each fact family, your students will be able to gain confidence as they ensure mastery. Throughout this project, we will work together to become comfortable using Microsoft PowerPoint in order to create a path to multiplication mastery. The skills you learn will extend beyond this project, allowing you to create additional content using Microsoft PowerPoint.

Intellectual Autonomy
The course will provide an overview of philosophical questions about intellectual autonomy, our ability to govern ourselves as thinkers. “Thinking for yourself” is a traditional educational emphasis; but recent history has also dramatized the risks of “doing your own research” instead of trusting experts on topics from climate change to vaccine risks to election outcomes. Meanwhile, the rise of AI tools like ChatGPT illustrates the possibility of “outsourcing” some of our thinking to technology; and problems of misinformation press us to consider how individuals and governments can permissibly shape people’s intellectual behavior. This course brings these topics into perspective by considering how the value of intellectual autonomy relates to our dependence on other people, labor-saving tools, and healthy informational environments.

Ultimate French Course 51+hours: Beginners-Advanced
Hello, I’m Rafa, I'm French, and I have a degree in engineering in France. Today, I’ve been working in Paris as a Quantitative Analyst at a bank, and I also teach private French courses, which is the thing I most love doing. In this course, I use a method that is based on everyday dialogues, from a pedagogically organized textbook. For each dialogue, we will have the following lessons: • Contextualization lesson in English. In this lesson, I read the dialogue in English to help us familiarize ourselves with the context and avoid getting lost in the upcoming lessons. PDF dialogues are provided. • Dialogue comprehension lesson in French. In this lesson, I explain the dialogue in French, word by word! By the end of this lesson, you’ll be able to understand the entire dialogue in French. • Dialogue breakdown lesson. Here, I clarify all those little details of the language that appear in the dialogue. • Reading practice lesson in French. I read the entire dialogue again in French. You can use this lesson to repeatedly listen and practice the dialogue, reinforcing new words. • Grammar lesson. I explain French grammar in a simple and intuitive way. After all, it’s not worth memorizing endless grammar rules that we’ll never have time to recall when speaking or even writing in French, right? • Vocabulary lesson. In this lesson, we learn new words related to the dialogue’s context. For example, if the dialogue takes place in a clothing store, we’ll cover vocabulary related to shopping and clothing. • Idiomatic expressions lesson. Here, we learn expressions that native speakers love to use. For example: “How’s it going?” or “Would you like anything else?” • Practice exercises lesson. Now it’s time to practice! At the end of each dialogue, you’ll find some reinforcement exercises to ensure you’ve learned everything. And of course, all the answers are provided. See you in the course! Kind regards, Rafa

BECOME a COUNSELLOR & PSYCHOTHERAPIST: Start Your Practice
Are you interested in becoming a counsellor or psychotherapist — but not sure where to begin? Perhaps you are considering a career change. Maybe you have always been the person others turn to when they need someone to talk to. Or perhaps you have already started studying psychology, counselling or mental health and want to understand what working as a therapist is actually like. Welcome to How To Become a Therapist: Counselling & Psychotherapy This course provides a practical introduction to the world of counselling and psychotherapy — from understanding what therapists actually do to exploring therapeutic skills, major approaches, ethical responsibilities, training pathways and the realities of starting your own practice. Rather than presenting therapy as simply "talking and listening", we will look inside the therapeutic relationship and explore what happens when a therapist works with a real person. What will you learn? Throughout the course, you will explore: • What counselling and psychotherapy actually involve • The differences between counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists • How to decide whether a career in therapy may be right for you • Common myths and realities of the profession • Deep listening and therapeutic communication • How therapists ask questions without simply giving advice • What it means to "hold space" for another person • Professional boundaries and common beginner mistakes • What happens during the first therapy session • How therapists structure sessions naturally • Working with silence, resistance and moments when you feel stuck • Major therapeutic approaches, including Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and CBT • Modern approaches including ACT, DBT and REBT • and so much more! Learn through practical examples Throughout the course, we will use client scenarios, therapeutic conversations, analogies, reflection questions and practical examples to help you move beyond simply memorising theory. You will consider questions such as: • What would you actually say when a client becomes silent? • What happens when you don't know what to ask next? • Should therapists give advice? • How do you maintain boundaries while still being warm and empathic? • What happens when a client's needs are beyond your level of competence? • And how do you know whether you are genuinely ready to begin working with people? You will also receive a supplementary PDF course guidebook containing key concepts, reflection exercises, therapeutic scenarios and recommendations for further learning. Can I practise as a therapist after completing this course? This course is designed as foundational education and professional development, rather than as a substitute for the formal qualifications, supervised clinical experience, registration or licensing that may be required to practise counselling or psychotherapy in your country. For many students, short professional courses can be valuable stepping stones: they allow you to explore the field, develop knowledge and discover which areas you would like to study more deeply. If your goal is professional therapeutic practice, this course will also help you understand the different training pathways available and identify possible next steps. Start exploring your future in therapy Becoming a good therapist is not about having all the answers. It is about learning how to listen, understand, remain curious, work ethically and help another person explore their own experience with greater awareness. If counselling, psychotherapy and understanding people fascinate you — and you are wondering whether this could become part of your professional future — this course is an excellent place to begin. Enrol today and take your next step into the fascinating world of counselling and psychotherapy. See you in my class! Dr. Elmira Strange - Psychology Educator & Udemy Instructor for over 10 years

Let's talk about how you can achieve all the above goals! 1- Start speaking the Arabic language fast? • Without spending hundreds of hours memorizing long lists of Arabic vocabulary that you may forget later? • Without wasting a lot of energy, getting tired and dropping Arabic all together ? Unlike other Arabic courses on Udemy, this is the only course that gives you a system and techniques which help you: Understand and remember up to 40 Arabic words you have never heard before just by knowing 1 Arabic word or the Arabic Root. Amazing! Isn’t it? Let's see how it works! There is something similar in English but it is very limited. In English if you know the meaning of the verb "to write", you can easily guess what the word "writer" means. "Er" at the end means "the one who writes". In the Arabic language, you may be able to know the meaning of 40+ Arabic words by knowing just 1 word with the system I will teach you in this Arabic course. The Arabic root system is a unique and amazing concept in the Arabic language which allows you to rapidly expand your Arabic vocabulary. Once you start recognizing these patterns, it will be very easy for you to learn, guess, and remember the meanings of new Arabic words instead of spending hundreds of hours memorizing Arabic vocabulary words that you may forget later. These 3 letters "d r s" make the root of Arabic words that have the meaning of things to do with studying. • Add "a" after the first letter and "a" after the second letter: d a r a s daras means to study See if you can figure out the meaning of this Arabic word: "K t. b" the root of words that have the meaning of things to do with writing and books. What does "katab" mean? • By adding the bold vowels below, we will have a new word: d aa r i s : daaris means the one who studies which means "student" See if you can figure out the meaning of this Arabic word: "K t. b" the root of Arabic words that have the meaning of things to do with writing: What does "kaatib" mean? • By adding the bold vowels and letters below, we will have a new word. ma drasah: ma: means the place where we study madrasah: school "ah" at the end means that the word is feminine Since the root "k. t. b" has to do with books, what does "maktabah" mean? 2- Start speaking and understanding all Arabic speakers? Be careful! Modern Standard Arabic is NOT spoken as other courses tell you and NOT all Arabic speakers understand the pure version of Modern Standard Arabic. I have translated and interpreted between the Arabic, French and English languages in person and on the phone for 20+ years in US courts, hospitals, schools, business meetings, customer service calls and many more for Arabic speakers from all Arabic countries. Therefore, I know what Arabic speakers speak and understand. I actually was the highest paid Arabic interpreter because I know all Arabic dialects and I could communicate with all Arabic speakers. I was often called to replace interpreters who tried to use Modern Standard Arabic but failed to communicate with the individuals they were trying to interpret for. Unlike the other Arabic courses on Udemy that teach you Modern Standard Arabic as a spoken language, I will teach you the language and dialects that Arabic speakers/ Arabs actually use to speak: • White Dialect: White Dialect is the answer It is the version of Arabic that Arabic speakers/ Arabs use to communicate with each other when they do not speak the same dialect. White Dialect is made by using: Common Words between dialects Pronounced the dialect way + Grammar and Conjugation rules from Arabic dialects NOT the complicated ones from MSA: Modern Standard Arabic + Words from dialects not used in MSA: Modern Standard Arabic Be careful: In the White Arabic Dialect: a- To say "Where", we do NOT say "Ayna": We use "Ween or Feen" I saw that the other Arabic courses are telling you to use: "Ayna" for "where" It is Not understood by all Arabic speakers/Arabs b- To say "What", we do NOT say "Maathaa or Maa" As the other Arabic courses teach you. We use "Shoo" from Levantine dialect or "eeh" from Egyptian dialect "Maathaa or Maa" are Not understood by all Arabic speakers/Arabs c- I saw that some courses use "thahab" meaning "to go". This verb is not understood by all Arabic speakers. Instead use "raaH" 3- Speak and understand the version of Arabic that suits your needs: In addition to White Dialect, I continue to upload videos from my classes in: • Levantine Dialect • Gulf dialect • Egyptian dialect I will also teach you: The differences in pronunciation in all dialects so you can understand all Arabic speakers. 4- Free AI tools to practice and test your pronunciation and see if Arabs can understand you? I figured out these tools for my own private students and you will benefit from them too. 5- Easily remember what you have learned? Again this course is different in a way that it takes in consideration how the human brain learns and easily remembers information especially languages. My background is in biology so I know how the brain works. I use: • Color coding: Studies show that color helps us in memorizing information by increasing our attentional level. I take the time to color each word in sentences the same color in both English and Arabic to help you learn it easily and remember it forever.. • Repetition: I repeat and make you repeat what you learn. Scientifically, by repeating the same thing many times, connections between neurons in the brain get stronger and therefore, the information moves to the permanant memory. This way you will remember what you learn forever. “Repetition is the mother of learning.” ― Zig Ziglar. • A spiral learning method meaning that you will learn Arabic vocabulary, sentence construction in the Arabic language, Arabic grammar and Arabic conjugation by mastering one topic at a time. • Techniques on how to remember any information you learn: I will also give you other techniques and systems to help you remember what you learn. You will see that in the course 6- Track your progress with tests, exams and answers? • Practice tests: • Each lesson is followed by practice tests • Each section is followed by an exam This is the only course that will help you test if Arabic speakers will be able to understand you. 7- Start making your own sentences instead of acting like a parrot memorizing a bunch of sentences? Unlike other courses, I will teach you how sentences are made and their structure compared to English so you can make your own sentences. This will help you start making your own sentences and speaking quickly. 8- Read stories, the Quran and Hadith with good and correct Pronunciation? This course also teaches you: • The Pure Modern Standard Arabic Stories are written in Modern Standard Arabic. The Holy Quran and Hadith are written in Classical Arabic. Check lecture 4: How many Arabic dialects are there? Is MSA the same as classical Arabic? Other courses do NOT help you learn the correct pronunciation and only teach you the alphabet. There is more to reading Arabic than just learning the alphabet. We will cover how to read Arabic Perfectly including where to put the emphasis or stress, the supplemental characters, and much more. You will pronounce Arabic better than some Arabs. Keep in mind that NOT All Arabs and Arabic speakers can read and pronounce Modern Standard Arabic CORRECTLY! Sorry to say that in courses on Udemy, the individuals who teach MSA do not even pronounce it correctly and do not know its grammar and conjugation. Modern Standard Arabic which is the Formal Arabic Not the spoken Arabic as other courses tell you. • Check out lecture 4 in my course! This course has the correct pronunciation not as I saw in many courses where the person who teaches the course (most of them are not even teachers) mispronouncing letters and making grammar and conjugation mistakes. Can you teach Formal English if you just speak everyday English? Of course not. Example: - The letter ذ is supposed to be pronounced in MSA similar to "th" as in "this" NOT "Z" as I saw in many courses. Check lecture 34 in my course for the pronunciation of this letter in MSA. - Arabic words in MSA have endings depending on their position in the sentence. These ending were wrong in these courses. Unfortunately beginners Arabic learners do not the difference, only advanced ones know and I saw some reviews on other courses pointing out to these mistakes. I am a voiceover talent and therefore I know how to pronounce MSA the correct way. Don't take my word for it, see what this student said about it: (Check the reviews) "A Perfect Course for Beginners. This course is well-structured and well-delivered. First, Nezha (The teacher) went through how each letter is written and pronounced (in Modern Standard Arabic). I like how she also explained how some dialects pronounced some letters differently from the MSA. Then, she taught some simple everyday phrases (and sentence patterns), which is more useful for beginners rather than going straight to grammars and vocabulary, so the students who knew nothing at all about Arabic (like me) can have a basic idea on how the language work (kinda). The color coding on each slide is GENIUS. It helps students to understand what each word means on each phrase without relying on a lengthy dictionary-like table format." Also before enrolling in an Arabic course, please look at: 1- How organized the Arabic course is: The sections are organized in a way that will help you learn Arabic gradually and not get lost. If you already know how to read and write Arabic, you can skip the how to read and write Arabic. 2- How it is presented: Using color coding helps your brain remember what you learn. I don't just use colors. I use them to emphasize what you need to remember. 3- How much content you are getting not by counting the hours but the quantity of information and the value of the information given. I will be adding more topics. I used my 20+ years of experience teaching and tutoring Arabic to create this Complete Arabic course to help you learn Arabic and go from zero to hero in reading, writing, and speaking Arabic. Extra: - I will be adding more Arabic videos and Arabic material to the course as you progress. This Arabic course is very organized so you can choose the Arabic topic you would like to learn. - I am here to help you. I am and will be available to: • Answer any questions you may have about Formal Arabic, any Spoken Arabic dialect and any Arabic cultural aspect • Add material and videos about any topic you may request The biggest mistakes students make when they start learning to speak Arabic are: • Not learning the tips and ways that help them pronounce Arabic correctly from the start • Not knowing that there are many versions of Arabic and that they should choose one version of Arabic depending on their needs and goals It is usually not the student's fault to spend years and years learning Arabic and not be understood by Arabic speakers. Most Arabic teachers throw Arabic words and sentences at you without explaining the techniques to pronounce these Arabic words correctly. Most teachers don't know all these techniques because they are not linguists. Many students come to me to take classes in order to reduce or eliminate their heavy accent after spending years learning Arabic. They feel frustrated because Arabic speakers do not understand them. During my 20+ years of experience teaching Arabic, translating and working as a full time Arabic linguist, I created and developed a set of techniques and tips that made my students learn Arabic fluently and without having a heavy accent. Therefore Arabic speakers understand them easily. This comprehensive Arabic course will teach you everything so you can avoid these mistakes. Classroom Management - Fundamentals of Teaching & Education
You've created a dynamic lesson plan filled with creative activities, movement, and discussion. You've utilized Bloom's Taxonomy to ensure the content your teaching is high-up on the pyramid. You're convinced the education your students are about to receive will be nothing short of miraculous. Yet, at the end of the day, you've discovered that things didn't go quite as you had envisioned. Students were off task, behavior issues were higher than anticipated, and you exhausted too much time on student corrections and too little time on teaching content. If you've been teaching long enough, you've probably survived this scenario once or twice. What went wrong? Why didn't the students respond to your teaching in the manner you anticipated? The greatest lesson planning coupled with incredible teaching doesn't always equate to effective education or student learning. From early childhood education through high school students need structure and stability that teachers provide through the consistent application of their classroom management plan. In this course, I'm going to teach the components of your classroom management plan and show you how to incorporate it with fidelity. It all begins with strategic planning. Teachers are leaders and successful leaders plan strategically. During this course, we're going to create your classroom management plan. We'll start by creating your core values, vision, mission statement, and goals. Next we'll describe and create your classroom rules, procedures, consequences, and a rewards and motivation system. But we won't stop there, we'll discuss effective tier-1 strategies, attention signals, and as a bonus we'll review and I'll provide you with a copy of my Classroom Management Dashboard. Effective classroom management is the cornerstone to effective teaching. Even with the best of intentions, a child's education can be halted when structure and stability are missing in the classroom. Classroom Management - Fundamentals of Teaching & Education, from start to finish will not only teach you how to create an effective classroom management plan, but we will build your plan together to improve teaching in your classroom, minimize behavior issues, and accelerate the education of all of your students.

A Practical Introduction to OPC UA
Have you been trying to learn OPC UA by piecing together YouTube videos, forum posts, and random articles online — only to end up more confused than when you started? You're not alone. OPC UA is one of those topics where unstructured online resources will send you in ten different directions at once, leaving you with scattered bits of knowledge but no real ability to actually do anything with it. That ends here. This course has one clear, laser-focused goal — to take you from confused to proficient in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting OPC UA client and server applications. No fluff, no rabbit holes. Just simple, structured, step-by-step practical mastery. Here's what you're going to command by the end of this course: multi-platform capabilities; security, authentication, modes and policies — one of the most critical and often misunderstood areas in OPC UA; digital signing and encryption; TCP binary and HTTP communication modes; information modelling; endpoints; and configuration options — knowing not just what they are, but when and why to use each one. That last point is what separates someone who knows OPC UA from someone who can actually work with it. And we're not going to learn any of this as a theoretical exercise. We're going hands-on. You'll download and install two powerful, industry-relevant applications — UaExpert, a professional OPC UA client, and Prosys OPC UA Server — both completely free. You'll connect them, configure them, break them, and troubleshoot them. Once you can do it with these tools, you can do it with any OPC UA client and server applications you encounter on the job. My name is Emile Ackbarali. I bring over 20 years of hands-on industry experience, and I've taught over 33,000 students across my courses. I'll be with you every step of the way — if you have a question, I will get back to you as soon as possible. You're not just enrolling in a course — you're getting a committed instructor in your corner. If you're ready to finally cut through the complexity and gain a skill that will serve you throughout your career — I'll see you on the inside.

Le Bien, le Juste, l'Utile. Introduction aux éthiques philosophiques
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - About this course: This course presents the main schools of thought that frame today’s ethical reflection and affect everyone in their personal, social and civic life. From Aristotle to Kant, from Bentham to Derrida, we will take you to the heart of contemporary ethical debates through a fascinating philosophical journey. Our increasingly complex world seems to elude our grasp. Global warming, beginning and end-of-life issues, the dizzying evolution of bio-technologies, the unequal distribution of wealth, heightened migratory pressures ... In response, we are tempted to make the moral life a self-legislating and isolated affair: "do what you want, as long as you do not put at risk the freedom of others". We propose to go against this trend and to defend the idea of an ethics that immerses us in our social and political reality, in and amongst our peers. We thus reformulate the question of what is right and what is good. This is not to say we are starting from scratch and reinventing the wheel. Rather, we will offer a course that allows you to encounter the most important ethical perspectives of our contemporary world: virtue ethics (or perfectionism); ethics of duty (or deontology); utilitarianism (or consequentialism); ethics of love (or ethics of the gift). Everyone will thus have a chance to evaluate his or her ideas, to identify different approaches to the moral life, and to understand a range of perspectives on different situations that face us in our lives. Whatever your field of academic knowledge, your professional commitments or personal choices, this course presents key concepts for further analysis. Therefore, we will alternate discussions of the founding schools of ethical thought, in their ancient and contemporary formulations, with cross-disciplinary issues and applied case studies. The goal throughout is to clarify ideas in order to better understand reality and orient human action. - - - - - - - - -- - - -- - - - - - - -- - - - - - -- 善、正义、功用:哲学伦理学导论 本课程旨在向大家介绍伦理学的主要流派,这些流派对如今的伦理思考意义非凡,并且涉及到每个人的个人生活、社会生活和公民生活。 从亚里士多德到康德,从边沁到德里达,通过引人入胜的哲学之旅,我们将进入当代伦理学辩论的核心问题。

Learning, Knowledge, and Human Development
This course sets out to provide an understanding of theories of learning and development and how these theories relate to educational technology. It has two components. The first is theoretical, in which we attempt to develop an overall frame of reference, locating approaches to the psychology of learning in terms of large paradigm shifts, from ‘behaviorism’ to ‘brain developmentalism’ to ‘social cognitivism’. The second component is practical, in which we will use these theoretical concepts to ‘parse’ a technology-mediated learning environment for its underlying presuppositions. -------------------------------- Recommended Background -------------------------------- This course is designed for people interested in the future of education and the "learning society," including people who may wish to join education as a profession, practicing teachers interested in exploring future directions for a vocation that is currently undergoing transformation, and community and workplace leaders who regard their mission to be in part "educative." -------------------------------- Related Resources -------------------------------- Online resources are available here: https://newlearningonline.com -------------------------------- Join our Online Communities! -------------------------------- CGScholar (Create an account and join the New Learning community) https://cgscholar.com/community/community_profiles/new-learning/community_updates Facebook https://www.facebook.com/newlearningonline Twitter https://twitter.com/neolearning -------------------------------- Take this Course for Credit at the University of Illinois -------------------------------- This course has the same content and anticipates the same level of contribution by students in the Assessment for Learning course offered to graduate certificate, masters, and doctoral level students in the Learning Design and Leadership Program in the College of Education at the University of Illinois. Of course, in the nature of MOOCs many people will just want to view the videos and casually join some of the discussions. Some people say that these limited kinds of participation offer evidence that MOOCs suffer from low retention rates. Far from it – we say that any level of engagement is good engagement.
