A complete course covering the ABRSM Grade 6 Music Theory syllabus. The course covers all aspects of theory detailed in the ABRSM syllabus. Topics are introduced in a logical order to aide understanding. The exam questions from the ABRSM Grade 6 paper are thoroughly explained with demonstrations, tips and advice. Grade 6 covers harmony based on the major and minor keys, composition for a solo instrument, basics of figured bass and SATB harmony as well as general knowledge about score reading, orchestration, eras/style and general theory topics such as intervals, scales and rhythm. Victoria Williams has a honours degree in music from Leeds University (1995) where she specialised in musicology. She also hold both Trinity College London music theory diplomas, the AmusTCL and LmusTCL.
