In this course you will learn the basics of ancient hebrew reading. It is the first part of a series. This means you don't need any knowledge or requirements in order to start to learn. I will teach you to read the ancient hebrew from scratch. In this part the basic rules of reading ancient hebrew will be covered. We will start with the fundamentals of the consonants and their pronounciation, followed by the vocals and other rules, that are applied in the masoretic texts. We will also take a look at the longhand writing in order to be able to write words fast. The knowledge will be explained in a very simple step by step manner. I also want to indicate to you that there is a lot of practicing materials. You can download the PDFs, print them, and use them to do the reading practices and get very fluent at reading. The course is devided in six sections: • Introduction • Vocals • More Consonant Forms and Cursive Handwriting • Matres Lectionis (Vowel Letters) • Intensive Reading practice • Finish and Vision No matter if you start as complete beginner or as a starting intermediate. I am sure you will be able to learn the one or the other thing! If you find yourself it is too much to learn, try to devide the material and learn it from day to day. If you stop a lecture and start watching the other say, udemy will save your progress, so you will be able to continue later. This will allow you to learn without pressure at the time you feel comfortable learning - according to your personal speed.
