My name is Frederico Catarino, and I have been teaching Portuguese to foreigners since 2014. WILL I BE FLUENT AT THE END OF THIS COURSE? Fluent, no! But we can guarantee you that the vast majority of students who complete both our A1 and A2 levels will be able to communicate with a native speaker in a one-on-one conversation. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THIS A2 ONLINE COURSE AND AN A2 IN-PERSON COURSE? At Lisbon Language Café, we believe conversation is essential to consolidate the grammar structures we teach our students. That’s why, in our in-person courses, we spend about 80% of class time doing speaking and conversation activities. In our online courses, since we don’t have the opportunity to speak directly with students, we have developed a large number of activities that students can use to consolidate their grammar. IN CONCLUSION This is an A2-level course that has been improved over more than 10 years. It’s the result of thousands of hours of teaching and hundreds of students. Now, it’s time to share this teaching experience with those students who cannot attend my classes in Lisbon or who prefer to study from the comfort of their own home!
