Descripción

Terraform and Ansible are two of the most widely used Infrastructure as Code tools — and they're most powerful when used together. This applied capstone course teaches you to provision AWS cloud resources with Terraform and configure servers with Ansible, then integrate both tools into a single automated pipeline. You'll start by applying Ansible modules to manage files, packages, services, and access controls across servers. You'll use Jinja2 templates to generate dynamic configurations and conditionals to adapt playbook behavior to different environments. From there, you'll use Terraform's Write-Plan-Apply workflow to build AWS networking and compute resources — VPCs with custom subnets, security groups, EC2 instances in both public and private subnets, and IAM policies. The course then scales to advanced scenarios: attaching IAM policies for DynamoDB access and creating CloudWatch alarms — all defined in Terraform code. You'll learn integration patterns for connecting Terraform provisioning to Ansible configuration, including passing Terraform outputs to dynamic Ansible inventories. Everything follows a hands-on structure: read the concept, attempt the lab, then watch a solution video that walks through expert reasoning. The course culminates in a portfolio-ready capstone project where you design and build a complete multi-tier AWS environment, provisioning infrastructure with Terraform and configuring it with Ansible through a seamless pipeline. Who this is for: DevOps engineers and cloud practitioners with AWS familiarity, networking fundamentals, and working knowledge of both Terraform and Ansible who are ready to integrate these tools for production-grade infrastructure automation.
